True freshmen have often taken on big roles on Coach Rose's teams, and this year will likely be no different, particularly with the great amount of talent and production that must be replaced in the backcourt. The main candidate to come in and contribute right away as a newcomer is swingman Damarcus Harrison, who chose BYU over schools such as Florida State, Clemson and Marquette.

DeMarcus Harrison had to sift through more than 18 offers, but at the end BYU was the school he decided on. Growing up, BYU wasn't the first school he saw himself playing college basketball for. But after an official visit out to the school last month, he began to feel real comfortable with the environment, the players and the coaching staff.
