San Mateo RB Daniel Porter (6-0, 195) was one of the more consistent performers at running back the past two years in the state of California, but he's still unsigned at this late stage in the 2009 recruiting process. However, he will be visiting Idaho State next weekend and he could commit on his visit.

After a standout season in 2007, expectations were that College of San Mateo RB Daniel Porter (6-0, 198) were be an explosive playmaker for the Bulldogs' offense. Well, that hasn't happened and it's because defenses are keying on the talented playmaker. He isn't discouraged though and he said as long as the team keeps winning that's all he's worried about.

San Mateo always seems to be loaded with talent every season and one of their top returning playmakers from 2007 is RB Daniel Porter (6-0, 198). Porter's abilities as both a runner and receiver have caught the attention of three four-year programs and he updated JCFootball.com on recruiting as well what he's been focusing on this offseason.
