Nebraska transfer Harvey Jackson is enjoying his time at BYU. He’s made many friends and feels at home at BYU. The one-time four star safety prospect from Texas is now heading back home where he could see playing time against in-state powerhouse Texas, a college that recruited him at one time.

Former Nebraska safety Harvey Jackson made an official visit to BYU earlier this week. He enjoyed his visit and was very impressed with BYU and Head Coach Bronco Mendenhall. Tomorrow he'll decide between BYU and the five other schools he has on the offers from.

Out of Hightower High School (TX), Harvey Jackson held scholarship offers from Baylor, Houston, Northwestern, Oklahoma State, Vanderbilt and Nebraska. A former a four-star recruit, Jackson did not participate in this year's Nebraska spring camp. Rumor has it he's looking to transfer to BYU to play out his eligbility. The taste is there for a team when they make it to the finals and play a good game. Harvey Jackson and Sugar Land (Texas) Hightower had that last year. Into the finals and come up short. This year was all about taking that next step or that's the way it was supposed to go. Hightower is out now and Jackson is left to get ready for track and for college football.

Nebraska was the first to offer Harvey Jackson and in the end the persistence of the Nebraska staff has paid off. The Nebraska staff reeled in a Jackson commitment on their opening weekend. Jackson is a big safety that has the potential to carry more weight. What might be most impressive about Jackson is the legit 4.5 speed that he brings to the safety spot.
