Offensive lineman Stavion Lowe has become the seventh name dropped from the LSU roster this summer. The Brownwood, Texas native never played a snap with the Tigers. The news comes just days after fellow 2009 signee Chris Garrett asked to be released from the program.

When last spring turned to summer, the LSU coaching staff hit the recruiting trail in search of locking up the future links to the offensive line chain. After landing a guard and tackle in Chris Faulk and Carneal Ainsworth, the staff found another piece that fit in Brownwood-native Stavion Lowe.

When Stavion Lowe committed to the Tigers over the summer he had yet to witness a game in Tiger Stadium. This past Saturday, the big 4-star offensive lineman and his family sat in the stands for the first time, and neither the team nor fans disappointed.
