2010-11 Men's Basketball Season Review

The 2010-11 season, Duquesne's fifth under head coach Ron Everhart, was a roller coaster ride that ended with the school's third consecutive postseason appearance. Along the way, DU (19-13) won 11 in a row, saw the court stormed following a road loss and received votes in the Associated Press Top 25 - all things that hadn't occurred on the Bluff since the heyday of the program in the early 1970s.

Dukes Beat St. Bonaventure, 70-64

Sophomore Sean Johnson scored five of Duquesne's final seven points to give the Dukes a 70-64 victory over St. Bonaventure, Wednesday night at the Palumbo Center in Pittsburgh. The win stopped the Dukes three-game losing streak and evened the season record with the Bonnies, who had picked up the first game last month, 64-62.

PITTSBURGH - Sean Johnson scored a career-high 19 points and Damian Saunders scored 13 of his 14 in the first half as Duquesne handed Norfolk State its tenth consecutive defeat, 95-73, at the Palumbo Center.

PITTSBURGH - Damian Saunders, who scored 16 of his 20 points in the second half, hit a driving layup with 25.8 seconds left to help Duquesne (15-12, 6-7) to a 73-71 win over Dayton (18-8, 7-5) before the Dukes largest Palumbo Center crowd of the season.

Old Dominion took the lead midway through the first half and held off Duquesne's constant charge to pick up a 63-54 win over the Atlantic 10 Conference team Wednesday evening at Constant Convention Center in Norfolk, Va.
