The IDAHO VANDALS faced the Wyoming Cowboys for the annual military appreciation day football game. The game was decided in overtime with a disappointing and frustrating loss for the Vandals. One high note was RYAN BASS who gained 123 yards in 19 carries and had 2 receptions for 15 yards. He is featured in the cover photo where MIKE LAGRONE cracks a cowboy during a 28-yard, 3rd quarter run.

Vandals battle early, fall to No.3 LSU 63-14

DESPITE BEING DOWN TO THE NO.3 LSU TIGERS AT HALFTIME BY A SLIM 28-14 MARGIN, the Vandals could not keep up in the second half as the Tigers rolled to a 63-14 victory. Idaho had its highlights, including an electrifying 94-yard interception return by safety GARY WALKER to start the second quarter, which led to a Blackman-to-LaGrone TD that cut LSU's lead to 14-7. But the Tigers were too much.

Six Vandals earn 2nd Team All WAC

SIX VANDAL FOOTBALL PLAYERS WERE NAMED to the All-WAC Second Team this week. Four seniors (OL Matt Cleveland, CB Matthew Harvey, LB Tre'Shawn Robinson, and LB Korey Toomer), along with two juniors (P Bobby Cowan and H-BACK Mike LaGrone) were named to the list. This is the second year Cowan has made the list, after being named a First Team honoree in 2010.

Vandals make first-ever trip to ACC territory

THIS WEEK THE VANDALS HEAD TO CHARLOTTESVILLE TO TAKE ON VIRGINIA OF THE ACC. This will be the first meeting between the programs as Idaho (1-3, 0-1 WAC) will try to shake of the frustration of last Saturday's home loss to Fresno State. Virginia (2-2, 0-1 ACC) is also coming off a home loss, falling 30-24 to Southern Miss. Kickoff is at 3:30 PM PST, and the game will be carried live on ESPN3.

Spring Game Post-Game: H-Back Mike LaGrone

REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE MIKE LAGRONE, IDAHO'S TOP H-BACK heading into the 2011 season, saw his role grow this spring as fellow sophomore, tightend Taylor Elmo went down with an injury. LaGrone saw his role as tightend increase, and Saturday after the Spring Game he met with the media to talk about his expanded role, and the impact of the tightend and H-Back positions on the Vandal offense.
