Long a sore spot for the Vanderbilt offense, things are looking up for the Commodore wide receivers. Young talent abounds and there's a new sheriff in Nashville. Chris Beatty, who formerly coached slot receivers at West Virginia, is now in charge of Vandy wide receivers. Players like John Cole, Jonathan Krause, Jordan Matthews and others give Commodore fans hope that better days are ahead.

The Vanderbilt staff hopes to see great improvement from their wide receivers this season. In 2009 the receivers struggled throughout the season and finished with a poor 146.3 yards per game passing average; one of the worst in the nation.

"That's no misprint," said Akeem Dunham when asked if a report by an Orlando, Florida paper that he had 12 interceptions as a senior was accurate. Dunham, by the way, is headed north to Nashville to play for Vanderbilt. Look inside to find out more about this fine player.
