Breaking Down the Navy Slot Backs

Of all the positions which are up for grabs for the 2013 Midshipmen it is easy to argue that the slotback role is the most vital to fill. Though there have been rumors that Navy will experiment with throwing the ball more and running plays out of spread formations the bread and butter of the Mids is still going to be variants of the triple option.

Future Files: Brian Williams

There were few Pennsylvania high school seniors who were more exciting with the ball in their hands last year than Gateway running back Brian Williams, who ran for 1,666 yards and 21 scores to lead the Gators to the WPIAL AAAA Championship Game. Williams is headed to Navy in the Fall.

All Eyes on Gateway and Penn Hills

Two of the WPIAL's biggest programs border each other in multiple places. The biggest being the Old William Penn highway. When the two Class AAAA powers collide it is more than a game, it is for bragging rights. People will talk about the game for the rest of their lives. This years clash takes place in week one.
