In interviewing defensive lineman Anthony Rogers of North Little Rock, Ark., for the annual recruiting issue of Go Pokes Magazine, the 6-4 1/2 athletic commitment revealed some interesting things. The most important bit of information he told us was that he is 100 percent committed to Oklahoma State.

Scout's 73rd-ranked defensive end is a tremendous athlete that committed early to Mississippi State but switched his pledge when Sylvester Croom was out as the Bulldogs head coach and changed to Oklahoma State.

Recruiting: Anthony Rogers Flips To OSU

Oklahoma State has recruited a few defensive linemen out of the state of Arkansas who worked out OK. The current Cowboy coaching staff hopes that Anthony Rogers, who gave his verbal to them on Monday, turns out as well as Leslie O'Neal (1982-85) and Kevin Williams (1999-2002), both of whom were standouts at OSU from the state of Arkansas before going on to Pro Bowl careers in the NFL.

From Cowbells to Cowboys

North Little Rock defensive end Anthony Rogers committed to Mississippi State back during the spring. Shortly after that commitment, Rogers picked up offers from Baylor, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss and Tulsa. After a coaching change at Mississippi State, Rogers has elected to take up one of those schools on their offer.
