The Jaguars appear poised to make another personnel move, as they invited four more players to the facility for an official tryout yesterday. With the uncertain status of defensive tackle Marcus Stroud's ankle injury Sunday, it would appear that there is a strong possibility of Stroud being sent to the injured reserve list, and lost for the season.

Senior linebacker Brian Crum has waited a long time to get to the level where he's at on the football field. Crum's athletic ability and potential contribution on the field has the coaches excited during fall practices. Crum is very outgoing and personable off the field and fast, strong, and agile on the field.

The Florida Gator defense returns much of a defensive front seven from a team that finished top ten nationally in most categories last year. Starting linebackers Earl Everett (senior, leading tackler) and Brandon Siler (team captain) return as starters where Brian Crum, a key reserve on last year's team, hopes to crack the starting lineup. Crum is a senior that brings a wealth of physical ability and maturity to a position that should be a team strength in 2006.
