This past winter, Raymond Kruml suited up for the Indios de Mayaguez in the Puerto Rican Professional Baseball League. The Scranton/ Wilkes-Barre right fielder played for them throughout November and December. He was managed by current skipper Dave Miley. In 20 games, the 2008 11th round draft pick batted .220 (13-59) with four RBIs.

Rather than merely hand out awards like the Hitter of the Year and the like, we hand out various prospect superlative awards including, but not limited to; the "Robinson Cano Award" to the hitter who finally started tapping his potential at the higher levels, the "Austin Romine Award" to the hitting prospect who is much better than the national media realizes, etc, etc.

Ray Kruml, the lead-off batter for Trenton Thunder, has seen a high rise in his statistics for the 2011 season, especially over the past month. With seven triples and four home runs in just the past thirty-nine games, Kruml has shifted from a good player to a player of power.
