And Cody Boyd, a week after working out for the Steelers, knew he was going to be headed to Pittsburgh as either a late draft choice or a free agent. All three Cougars are breathing a bit more easily now, knowing where their pro aspirations are taking them.

PULLMAN -- Scouts from about a dozen NFL teams, plus the CFL's B.C. Lions, kept their stopwatches close to the vest Wednesday as they put 10 WSU seniors through workouts. But the buzz coming out of The Bubble was that two Cougs wanting badly to improve on their showings from last week's NFL Combine did just that. And one of their 323-pound teammates looked downright swift motoring down the line.

JASON HILL IS slated to be drafted as high as the first round, but for the rest of the outgoing WSU senior football players looking for a shot at pro ball, today offers a huge opportunity to make a statement. It's Pro Day on the Palouse, as scouts from several teams will put prospects through their paces. Linebacker Scott Davis says he's just looking for a chance to get on the free agent radar.
