DAY 10: One of those days out on the Palouse

PULLMAN—Seems like every team has "one of those days" in spring ball, and this was that day for the Cougs. Taking the field for the first time since a solid Saturday scrimmage, WSU looked to be there from a physical standpoint only. For the first time this spring, Paul Wulff looked truly displeased, though the D did make some huge plays including two by 'backers Hallston Higgins and Darren Markle.

SPIRITS WERE HIGH Thursday as Washington State opened spring football practices. The numerous freshmen -- who've now shed last fall's redshirts -- fueled the energy in a big way. Full pads and hitting won't happen for a few days, but the action was brisk and CF.C was there to capture much of it in living color.

Cougars crisp all around, Norrell shines

PULLMAN--The Cougars had to set their alarms earlier than normal this morning for an 8 a.m. practice -- sometimes that means a bit of lethargy creeps in. But this morning on the Palouse saw crisp play in team drills, by both offense and defense alike. Kevin Norrell was a grabmaster, the No. 1 d-line was strong against the run, while their o-line counterparts provided solid pass-pro, plus more.
