A pair of 2015 debuts went opposite directions Wednesday as Luis Tejada was the top offensive performer for the TinCaps, while Adys Portillo was ineffective in his first appearance for the Storm. Both clubs lost while the Missions were once again washed out and El Paso picked up a victory.
Summary: As noted yesterday, the Missions’ pitching staff suffered from a serious lack of run support. At one point during the year San Antonio went 40 innings without scoring a run but the pitching staff hung in there with an overall ERA of 3.36.
