It was the second time he had seen snow. The first time was down in his home state of Louisiana, and he said it was done and melted into the ground in less than an hour. But the snow and cold wasn't enough to sour what was a solid trip for future Husker, Walker Ashburn.

Walker Ashburn knew that his team was going to be good, particularly on the defensive side of the ball. River Ridge (La.) Very polite and well spoken, defensive end Walker Ashburn of River Ridge (John Curtis), La., was quick to return a message left by Go Pokes Magazine. The 6-3, 245-pound Ashburn is pretty athletic as not only did he help Curtis win the Class 2A state championship last season but he also wrestles and competes in the shot put and discus in track and field.
