Not enough offense against Troy

AT TIMES DURING THE FIRST HALF SATURDAY the Vandal offense was potent, including this 64 yard strike to senior JOSHUA MCCAIN (he finished the game with 128 yards on 7 receptions). But that all ended after halftime where Idaho was unable to add to their 17 first half points. With the loss Idaho falls to 1-9 (1-6 Sun Belt) as they prepare for the season finale at Appalachian State in two weeks.

Depth Chart continues to evolve

AN OFFICIAL UNIVERSITY OF IDAHO Depth Chart has not yet been released as extensive player rotation continues mid-way through fall camp. The Vandals picked up some more defensive line help in the form of noseguard Alfonso Hampton and defensive end Kaylyn Ayers, and youngsters throughout the depth chart continue to make an impact.

Vandal Football Team Awards

LED BY THREE YEAR CAPTAIN AND THREE TIME ALL-WAC SELECTION SHILOH KEO, WHO WAS VOTED THE 2010 TEAM MVP, the University of Idaho football program handed out its team awards this weekend. QB Nathan Enderle and WR Eric Greenwood were named Offensive Players of the Year, Aaron Lavarias earned Defensive Player of the Year, and several others were honored, including athletes returning next fall.

Top Idaho QB Discusses UI Commitment

Last week GoVandals.net confirmed that Lewiston (Ida.) High School signal caller JUSTIN PODRABSKY (6-6, 220), the 2008 Inland Empire League Offensive Player of the Year, verbally committed to the University of Idaho over offers from Utah State and Idaho State. With the Vandals hosting Colorado State in a nationally televised game on ESPN-U, we glimpse Idaho's future with Podrabsky under center.

2010 Northwest Fab 50

With the 2009 class about to be signed, sealed and delivered, it's time to look ahead a little to who tops the very early list for next year's top recruits in the Northwest. Just like it was with Manti Te'o this year, getting the top spot right for 2010 didn't take a lot of debate. He's Scout.com's No. 1 quarterback nationally for the junior class, and he currently holds 19 scholarship offers.
