The Vandals announced their 2014 Team Awards as part of the 2015 Spring Game and 2014 Co-Captain TOM HENNSESSEY received the Mark Vaught Character Award, a new award created for the player who best exemplifies the qualities of the late Mark Vaught. THE UNIVERSITY OF IDAHO announced the Fall Camp schedule, with practices starting Monday, August 4th (6 PM PST) in preparation for the August 30th season opener at the University of Florida. Head coach Paul Petrino enters his second season at the helm of the Vandal football program, with growing expectations for a more potent offense and a stingier defense.

THIS WEEKEND IDAHO GETS A GLIMPSE at the future when they head to Arkansas State in a Sun Belt Conference primer, with Idaho preparing to join the SBC in 2014. Coming off a rough home loss to Fresno State, and two weeks removed from beating Temple for Homecoming, the Vandals (1-5) look to rebound against an ASU team that is 2-3 (1-0 SBC) and coming off a bye week (4:00 PM PST, LIVE on ESPN3).

THE 2013 COLLEGE FOOTBALL SEASON KICKS OFF THIS WEEKEND, and for the Vandals the season starts with a trip to Denton to face the University of North Texas. This game marks the 10th meeting all-time between the schools, with UNT holding a narrow 5-4 margin. Senior DT VINCE KEENER (6-4, 270) and the Vandals have their sights set on erasing a frustrating 2012 season, and it all starts Saturday.

DESPITE BEING DOWN TO THE NO.3 LSU TIGERS AT HALFTIME BY A SLIM 28-14 MARGIN, the Vandals could not keep up in the second half as the Tigers rolled to a 63-14 victory. Idaho had its highlights, including an electrifying 94-yard interception return by safety GARY WALKER to start the second quarter, which led to a Blackman-to-LaGrone TD that cut LSU's lead to 14-7. But the Tigers were too much.
