Wednesday night's NBA Draft marked the official end of the Illinois careers for James Augustine and Dee Brown as they now discovered their new teams. Augustine was selected first when his named was called at #41 by Russ Granik. Dee Brown had to wait a little longer, but at #46 he found out he would be joining former Illini Deron Williams in Utah.
The University of Illinois men's basketball team officially closed its season with the 84th annual Kiwanis Basketball Banquet, held Tuesday night. The banquet also marked the last appearances as team members for James Augustine and Dee Brown.

INDIANAPOLIS, IND.-University of Illinois senior Dee Brown is the winner of the 2006 Bob Cousy Award presented by The Hartford. Brown received the honor earlier today at the Basketball Hall of Fame awards breakfast and subsequent press conference in downtown Indianapolis. Head Coach Bruce Weber also attended the ceremonies.
