Douby to Sacramento with 19th Pick

Rutgers University guard Quincy Douby (Brooklyn, NY) was selected by the Sacramento Kings in the first round of the NBA Draft (19th pick overall). It marked the first time a Rutgers player has been selected in the NBA's first round since Roy Hinson was chosen by the Cleveland Cavaliers in 1983.

Douby Declaring for NBA Draft?

According to reports published in the Asbury Park Press, Quincy Douby will meet with Fred Hill Jr. on April 6 to discuss whether or not the junior guard should enter the NBA draft. The two will be joined by Douby's high school coach, Jack Ringel. Mark your calendars folks.

St. Joe's Tops Rutgers, 71-61

Philadelphia, Pa. - Saint Joseph's men's basketball team won their first round game of the 2006 NIT, 71-62, Thursday evening. The Hawks topped Rutgers behind Abdulai Jalloh's 23 points on SJU's home court, the Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse.
