He played every game like it was his last this season and for good reason. A senior, Robert Hite, was on his final hurrah as a member of the University of Miami men's basketball team, and he made it a memorable ride. He supplied fans with some ooohs and ahhhhs while dazzling the ACC with an array of sickening dunks (24 to be exact) and some deep bomb three-pointers that seemed to come out of the heavens.

CORAL GABLES -- On a night where there some attempts at humor from emcee Joe Zagacki, there was the reality of finality for a number of players that included Miami's two leading scorers this past year during the ‘Canes 18-16 season that saw them advance to the quarterfinals of the NIT before bowing out against Michigan 71-65.

University of Miami shooting guard Robert Hite is in his last go round, one that's seen peaks and valleys, but overall been a rather disappointment in his career as a Hurricane. But the disappointment has not been his as Hite has been the loan positive constant over the past three years.

He was Miami's top-returning scorer from last season's depressing season, but confidence is something that has not left Rob Hite. Hite opened the season as Miami's leading scorer through 11 out-of-conference games averaging over 20 points a game, but since then, although averaging a team-leading 19 points per game, he has become second fiddle to emerging star Guillermo Diaz.
