PULLMAN — Locked away inside the indoor practice facility known as “The Bubble,” Washington State’s wide receivers continue to look sharp. Although media members are not allowed to watch the entire practice session, the portions available to spectators have featured more of the same: pass-and-catch, turn upfield and run.

LEWISTON — Two huge assets, in terms of size and importance, returned to the practice field Sunday, giving the Cougars a much-needed lift on the offensive line. Joe Dahl and Devonte McClain, who have watched from the sidelines for the majority of camp, were on full display as they participated in drills and the 11-on-11 segment toward the end of the day.

PULLMAN -- The Cougars began specialized work on their fourth day of fall training camp. That meant each unit of the team broke down into individual groups for the majority of the practice and practiced specific plays and audibles designed for that part of the team. The special teams unit began working in earnest on field goals, but there was nothing special about it, an assistant coach said.

WASHINGTON STATE outside receivers coach Dennis Simmons had just finished a meeting with wideout Vince Mayle when Cougfan.com caught up with him.
