N.C. State center Adam Simons transfers to Xavier

Adam Simons, a 6-foot-10, 242-pound sophomore center, has transferred to Xavier from North Carolina State. He will sit out the season and be eligible after the first seemster next year. Simons averaged 1.3 points and 1.1 rebounds as freshman last season and played in just one game this season. He will play for Xavier head coach Sean Miller. Simons had played with Miller's younger brother, Archie, with the Wolfpack.

Evaluating Adam Simons

Last Friday, some of the TSW Staff ventured out to Chavis League to take in a "Garner Road" game in our effort to provide quick evaluation of the freshmen. Adam Simons as well as Justin Flatt and Dom Mejia play for Garner Road. While the competition for Garner was not that good on this night, I do feel I was able to get a good view of NC State's next big man.
