Austin Peay hires Julian Terrell

Two-time Commodores captain Julian Terrell has advanced his coaching career by moving just an hour down the road and taking an assistant coaching position at Austin Peay for next season. Terrell had a playing career which took him all over the world and he established a reputation quickly over the last two seasons as Vanderbilt’s director of video operations.

Julian Terrell: A senior looks back

It's finally dawning on Julian Terrell-- his college basketball career is rapidly coming to a close. The normally reserved 6-9 senior from Nashville took time recently to look back on some of the events that have shaped his life, including the untimely death of his mother, and his decision to play high school basketball alongside close friends at Ezell-Harding Christian School. Vandy opens SEC Tournament play vs. Auburn Thursday at 6:30 pm CT.

Vandy runs past Georgia, 72-55

ATHENS -- Shan Foster poured in 23 points and DeMarre Carroll added 15 as Vanderbilt picked up a critical 72-55 win at Georgia. It was the Commodore's first win in Athens since the 1999-2000 season and avenged a 1-point loss to the Bulldogs two weeks ago in Nashville.

Vanderbilt romps over UNC-Greensboro, 85-53

NASHVILLE-- The Vanderbilt Commodores used first half runs of 16-0 and 12-0 to roar to a 42-14 halftime lead and went on to defeat UNC-Greensboro, 85-53. Julian Terrell, Shan Foster, DeMarre Carroll and Derrick Byars all scored in double figures for the Commodores.
