It was not the prettiest of games to behold, but in the end, it was good enough to get a tough road win. BYU defeated Weber State 73-69 in overtime. The bad news is that BYU allowed a mediocre team to take them to overtime. The good news is that the Cougars have the mental toughness to regroup and go 2-0 in overtime games this season.

It was too little too early for the BYU Cougars at UCLA's storied Pauley Pavillion last night. The Cougs used lights out three-point shooting to overcome an eight-point first half deficit and take a nine-point first half lead. They literally gave the game away, however, by coughing up the ball almost two dozen times. On the bright side, BYU proved that they can play with anyone in the country.

The College Basketball News' top seven teams remained the same as many teams started postseason play. Mouth of Wilson (VA) Oak Hill Academy fell out of the top ten with a loss in their regular season finale. Los Angeles (CA) Fairfax moved back into the top ten and the Lions have the College Basketball News' Game of the Week when they face Los Angeles (CA) Westchester for the third time this season.

The College Basketball News' top eight teams remained the same as many teams had light schedules as they prepare for the playoffs or had games affected by the snowsotrms in the East. Minneapolis North fell out of the top ten, while Memphis (TN) White Station moved up.
