Top Wide Receivers of the Decade #4

Johnson, Hass, Houshmandzadeh, Thomas. These are some of the names fans think of when Oregon State receivers are mentioned. Unfortunately, none of these players have been Beavers in more than a decade. Hass was the most recent, but even he left OSU after the 2005 season. Thankfully, Oregon State has a talent for finding receivers that can make an impact, paying no regard to intangibles like size or speed.

Brandin Cooks Keeps It Real

On one single play, New Orleans wideout Brandin Cooks & Drew Brees broke two long-standing records, one of which has been around since the Saints very first year. Brees threw a dart to the streaking Cooks, resulting in a beautiful 98-yard touchdown catch & run down the sideline. It was the longest play in Saints history, breaking Billy Kilmer's 96-yard pass in 1967, as well as longest TD pass, eclipsing a 90-yard Billy Joe Hobert toss. Although the Saints lost, Cooks keeps game in perspective.

My Two Cents on Saints Heartbreaking Loss

By now, I'm sure you've seen, or at least heard about the New Orleans Saints heartbreaking opening game loss to the Oakland Raiders. It's never easy absorbing a loss when you feel your team had control for most of the game, including a two touchdown lead in the 2nd half. Are you ready to cash in the season like many frustrated faithful in the Who Dat Nation? Here's my two cents on why you should be more excited, rather than upset, following the Saints last minute loss this afternoon.
