With the loss of Josh Perkins, Washington needed someone to step up and take the starting tight end gig. Darrell Daniels was the most-athletic of the returning group and while he had a nice season -- 17 receptions for 307 yards and three touchdowns -- it was a far cry from what Perkins was able to do in his senior season.
