The last time Seattle U played a lower-level local team that (honestly) had no business on the court with them, the Redhawks let loose a 100-point offensive fusillade against Evergreen State one month ago. On Sunday, when D-III Pacific Lutheran came to KeyArena, it was a suffocating defensive effort by SU that was the story of another blowout victory.

Phenoms were brought along slowly. Coaches had time to build a foundation before having to worry about getting fired. Cameron Dollar's head coaching tenure at Seattle University could be described as a long journey covering a short time span. The 37-year-old former UCLA point guard and Washington assistant was hired to lead the Redhawks in 2009, and in just four seasons (entering a fifth) he has overseen the program's transition from the NCAA's Division II to full-fledged Division I membership.
