Dexter Charles Retires From UW Football

SEATTLE – Washington offensive lineman Dexter Charles has retired from football due to a lingering knee injury, head coach Chris Petersen announced today. Charles, who started 30 games over the last three seasons, mainly at left guard, was entering his fifth year at the UW. The Camano Island, Wash., product earned his bachelor's degree in anthropology last spring.

That part belongs to the five big guys up front, the offensive line. Without them, the UW skill players will have nowhere to go, but down. And after 15 spring practices, there are still more questions about the OL than answers.
