The Texas Tech football program has undergone massive changes since the end of the 2015 season and it's an ongoing process. As such there are a lot of questions heading into spring ball. Over the next several days leading up to the first practice we'll be looking at five of the biggest questions surrounding the team one question, one day at a time. Next up is a look at the defensive line.

The Texas Tech defense opened the game last week against Iowa State by forcing a turnover on sophomore cornerback Tevin Madison's diving interception. A closer inspection shows how poor scheme from the Cyclones and solid play from a pair of Red Raider defensive linemen made the pickoff by Madison possible.

RaiderPower.com caught up with Texas Tech defensive lineman Demetrius Alston to talk about his rise up the depth chart and how he has improved his game. The 6-foot-3, 270-pound junior has been running primarily with the first-team defense, but said he is motivated to stay there throughout the season.
