Pathers look to continue Resiliency

PITTSBURGH -- The time is set for Pitt's first around NCAA game. The Panthers (27-7) face Wright State (23-9) Thursday at about 9:40 p.m. at HSBC Arena in Buffalo, N.Y. Duke and Virginia Commonwealth play at 7:10 p.m. Thursday with the winners squaring off Saturday either 3:20 or approximately 5:50 p.m.

Pitt-Dayton Photo Gallery

The #7 Pitt Panthers returned home from a three-game road trip and a two-game skid with an 84-54 victory in the Pete against the Dayton Flyers last night. Sam Young recorded a career-high 18 points to help secure the Panther victory. The Panthers return to action against Florida A&M on December 30 in the Pete before opening up their Big East schedule in the Carrier Dome vs. Syracuse.

The #2 Men's Basketball team returned to action last night against crosstown opponent Robert Morris in the Petersen Events Center. Pitt entered the game with a 25-0 all-time record but the Colonials were undefeated at 4-0 and are a much better team than in the past. The Panthers went into halftime with a 5 point. With Aaron Gray contributing 21 points and 15 rebounds Pitt won the contest 67-53
