After winning three of their first 4 games after the All-Star Break, the New Orleans Pelicans fan base started to see the fun, wide open, freewheeling style of basketball that was promised when Alvin Gentry was named head coach last summer. With the season possibly on the brink of extinction, the New Orleans Pelicans dug out of a deep 17-point 1st quarter hole to get a much needed victory tonight against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Pels reversed the usual script, by coming back and outscoring the T-Wolves by 23 in the 2nd half to save any hope going into the second half of the NBA season.
