Synopsis: A very talented staff that keeps the ball down should thrive in the best pitcher's park in the system. If the 2013 Missions can hit just a little bit they will be in every game as one through five the starters are as good as any that San Diego has sent to the San Antonio Missions in the past.

Summary: The Storm had a decent year, making the playoffs while finishing just two games under .500 then losing to the Lancaster JetHawks in the first round. While many of the high profile prospects struggled, lower draft picks such as Tommy Medica and Casey McElroy had breakout seasons.

Andy Parrino has found his batting stroke in the PCL and Nate Freiman puts the finishing touches on another 20+ home run and 100+ RBI season in San Antonio. "Tank Top Tommy" continues to punish the Cal League, a pair of star shortstops in the MWL and NWL and another good young catcher in the AZL.

Casey Kelly is back in San Antonio, dominating for five innings hours before the Missions finally pulled out the win. Lake Elsinore cruised and James Needy led the TinCaps to a big win in his first start of the season. Only the AZL Padres falter on a strong night for the system

Not a pleasant night as five of the Padres' affiliates go down. The sixth, the AZL Padres, had the night off. Still some good performances in Lake Elsinore at the plate as former top 2009 draft pick Everett Williams continues his hot streak and the organization may have found a diamond in the rough from Utah State College in the twenty-seventh round of the 2012 draft.
