It has been a very successful season thus far for the Oakland A's Low-A affiliate, the Burlington Bees. June wasn't a great month for the Bees, however, as they went 11-13. Despite the mediocre record, the Bees are still sitting pretty in the Midwest League, having already secured a playoff berth and boasting a 49-29 overall record through Friday. BURLINGTON, IOWA - Right-hander Matt Thomson opened a lot of eyes within the Oakland A's organization with a strong 2010 professional debut season. He was sidelined for the first part of the 2011 season with a shoulder injury, but is back on the field with the Low-A Burlington Bees. Bill Seals caught-up with Thomson over the weekend.

Matt Thomson, the Oakland A's 12th round pick in 2010, was one of the breakout stars of the last year's draft class for Oakland.
