Canton Kaumatule Done

Although he was one of the most anticipated high school players ever to sign a National Letter of Intent for Oregon, Canton Kaumatule has medically retired, as annonced by head coach Mark Helfrich on Tuesday. Kaumatule, a sophomore was never able to shake the injury bug and while still a student at Oregon, will no longer be part of the football program.

The Ducks kept up the tradition of recognizing those who defend our country as the 2015 Spring Game featured the offense and emerging defense. The Pathway squad, led by Jeff Lockie jumped to an early lead, although the Oregon squad made it close, coming up short in the 35-29 Pathway victory. A bit of razzle-dazzle combined with solid running and passing to account for the big points.

Final Farewell to Ducks' 2015 Offense

Oregon's offense put up gaudy numbers all season, but came up short against the powerful Ohio State defense. In what was to be Marcus Mariota's final appearance as a Duck, the loss of receivers, struggles with opening holes, and a crushing show of force by Ohio State on both sides of the line dampened and hampered the Oregon assault. Next year's QB is a focus as the Ducks reorganize for 2015.
