Lavender Picks Xavier

Columbus Brookhaven product Andrew Lavender signed with Oklahoma out of high school, but he decided to transfer after last season. The point guard was said for a while to be considering Ohio State, but things didn't happen between the two, Lavender has decided to attend Xavier. Kyle Lamb has the report.

Ohio G/F Everett Spencer commits to Wright State

6-6 swingman Everett Spencer of Columubs (OH) Brookhaven has committed to Wright State. He averaged 10 points, six rebounds and five assists last season for the Division I ruunner-ups and was a key reserve as a junior as the Bobcats won the state title.

Laurinburg loaded with top prep talent

Laurinburg (NC) Prep is annually one of the country's top prep teams and this upcoming season should be no exception as they may have more talent than ever. They finished 40-2 and will add a who's who of high school talent to their rosters. Laurinburg also has a deep and talented high school team. They will be the first prep school team to ever play at the Slam Dunk to the Beach. They will also appear at the War on the Shore and may return to the Timberwolves Shootout at the Target Center.

Jimmy Tobias will attend Oklahoma next fall

6-4 shooting guard Jimmy Tobias of Fort Lauderdale (FL) Dillard has qualified academically and will attend Oklahoma next fall. Tobias is the final member of the Sooners' 2003 five-man recruiting class. Tobias averaged 19.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 4.0 steals and 3.0 assists per game last year and was a first-team all-state selection at Dillard.
