Kentucky Derby Festival Classic Rosters set

The rosters for the Kentucky Derby Festival Classic are set for the final of the big All-Star games. The April 26 game held at Freedom Hall in Louisville features 22 of the top prep players in the country. There will also be the Derek Anderson Derby Festival Night of the Future Stars Friday. The event will feature a Slam Dunk and 2-on-2 contests and the three-point shootout. 7-3 Shagari Alleyene, who is being recruited by Kentucky, was added to the roster. He had committed to Rutgers.

Durham Hillside wins Chick-fil-A Classic

Durham (NC) Hillside defeated Powder Springs (GA) McEachern 69-68 in the Chick-fil-A Classic finals as Chris Lennon hits a shot at the buzzer. Kentucky recruit 6-8 forward Bobby Perry led all scorers in the game with 25 points and was named the Tournament MVP. Teammate Kevin Sumner added 21 points in the win. Rice signee Morris Almond scored 23 points for Powder Springs (GA) McEachern and highly ranked junior Josh Smith added 17.
