Lee Humphrey was at Maryville High School recently for a Fellow of Christian Athletes gathering. Humphrey is big into the FCA. He's big into academics. And during his four-year career as a Florida Gator, the sharp-shooting guard was big on the basketball court.

Lee Humphrey was in one of those zones that he's prone to get in last Saturday in Columbia. There are times when he just feels it. He locks. He loads. He lets it fly and if his three-ball touches anything but net, it's pretty much an upset. That's the way it was against South Carolina when he nailed seven of eight shots including a couple from well beyond NBA range.

No matter how much he works on that thing of beauty that is his jump shot; no matter how many three-pointers he'll knock down in practice or games, for some reason being a long range bomber deluxe doesn't translate into being automatic at the free throw line for Lee Humphrey. It's not for a lack of practice, either.

Lee Humphrey, Florida's 6-2 junior guard, is one of the best in the nation from behind the three point line at shooting 49%. He recently enjoyed of one of his best games as a Gator driving the basketball to the lane, scoring 14 points against Vanderbilt Saturday night in the O'Connell Center. Humphrey did not have as much success driving his bicycle across campus on Sunday afternoon as he hit a bump, flew off his bicycle, and suffered a third degree separation of his left shoulder.
