Ousmane Barro tallied 21 points and 13 rebounds, his second career double-double in the Golden Eagles' 83-67 victory over Northwestern State. As he headed off of the court, over 13,000 on hand at the Bradley Center stood in admiration of his achievement. The student section responded with the "O" arm sign that has become synonymous with the quirky center from Dakar, Senegal.

You can take the "work in progress" label away from Ousmane Barro. Barro scored a career high 21 points and grabbed a career high 13 rebounds to help Marquette (8-0) defeat Northwestern State, 83-67, and advance to the finals of the Blue and Gold Classic. Marquette handed the Demons their worst loss since playing then #1 Illinois in 2004. This was Barro's second consecutive double-double.

Ousmane Barro, the 6-10 native of Senegal, came to Marquette with more question marks than most. How would he adjust to organized basketball at the division one level? Could he make an impact with his long wingspan and budding athleticism? This past season, the big man that fellow Marquette students simply call "Ooze", answered many of those questions.

The Marquette Men's Basketball Team waited with anticipation on Sunday night to hear their name announced as one of the 65 to make it to the NCAA tournament. When their name was called, MarquetteHoops.com's John Dodds was there and got the reactions from Steve Novak, Dominic James, Chris Grimm and Ousmane Barro.
