Redshirt freshman Will Roach went through Alabama spring football practice relatively unnoticed at receiver, and for good reason. Roach was going through spring drills with a ligament tear in his shoulder. He said that his injury was much like Brodie Croyle's shoulder injury. Roach said he underwent surgery on Monday after the Tide's A-Day game.

Football coaches are known for the long hours they keep during the season, arriving early and staying late preparing their team for games. But given the size of the task facing Tide Wide Receivers Coach Charlie Harbison this spring, he might want to set up permanent housekeeping at the Football Complex.

Paraphrasing a movie line, "How hot was fall camp? It was #%$* hot!!!" <br><br>As any athlete knows, there is simply nothing like practicing football under a blistering August sun. Thankfully, modern sports medicine is now infinitely better equipped to deal with the problem.
