Bronco Basketball Arrives

Boise State basketball has experienced a revival in the past 2 seasons.. 2 years ago the Broncos wowed crowds in the Pavilion on their way to winning 24 games. Last year the Broncos struggled in adding 8 new players but gelled at just the right time as they went all the way to the WAC Championship game in winning 17 games. What can Bronco fans expect this year? Well.. the answer began taking shape last night as the Broncos took the floor for the first time in the 2005-06 Basketball season.

<p>Trailing by 2 with 3 seconds to go, Coby Karl stepped to the free-throw line and hit one but missed the second shot...</p><p>Enter Jermaine Blackburn, who picked up a ball deflected by Jason Ellis and put back the miss to put the Broncos up by 1 and the Broncos withstood a last second hail-mary by Nevada to win 73-72 in the Lawler Event Center.</p>

Broncos Advance in WAC Tourney

<p>Bronco Senior Jason Ellis, playing in what could have been his last game for Boise State, had a monster game, pulling down 21 rebounds and going for 22 points against a suddenly hot Tulsa team.</p><p>The 21 rebounds is a new WAC Tourney record, beating the old record of 19.</p>
