Despite only using seven players, the Cal State Fullerton men's basketball team rolled to their seventh win in eight games, defeating Portland State 86-69 Saturday as part of the ESPNU Bracket Buster at the Titan Gym.

The Cal State Fullerton Men's Basketball team continued its hot streak behind the near perfect shooting of Scott Cutley and Josh Akognon, defeating Pacific 92-78 to move into a tie for first place in the Big West Conference Saturday at the Titan Gym.

Basketball: 2007-08 Depth Chart

Updated version of the 2007-08 Cal State Fullerton basketball depth chart. After two weeks of practice, Frank Robinson appears to have the only guaranteed starting spot. With senior Scott Cutley out 4-6 more weeks with a broken ankle, look for an improved -- and healthy -- Marcus Morgan to take over at the four spot.

Newman's Notes: Eastern Washington

Cal State Fullerton loses for the first time this year, falling to Eastern Washington 110-100 on the road. The Titans (4-1), who set a school record for most points in a defeat. The old CSF mark for points in defeat was 96 points, twice back in the early 1960s.

2006-07 Preview: Wings

Cal State Fullerton's two and three spots are little bit fuzzy because so many players can play in different positions. Scott Cutley will like start at the four but is included here because he will be playing at the wing from time-to-time and these position are so thin, numbers-wise. Marcus Crenshaw will also be seeing most of his playing time at the wing so he is included a second time.

Newman's Notes: Hope International

Cal State Fullerton just completed it's "exhibition" portion of the basketball schedule by defeating Hope International on Tuesday night at Titan Gym. The game counted but it is quite clear this game, as well as Friday's match against Cal Maritime, were tune-ups and tryouts during the Bookstore Four suspensions. Assistant coach Andy Newman shares some of his views on last nights game.
