The Cats have a number of linebackers on the roster, but decided that they would still bring in a number of talented players. They lost Aaron Darks the day before signing day, but the crop they had in place will make his loss a minor blow.

<a href="http://scout.theinsiders.com/a.z?s=148&p=8&c=1&nid=784526">James Alford</a> is a big-time addition to the Cats team. He is a player that could compete for a starting spot this Spring. We caught up with him to get more of his thoughts on commiting to UA and what his plans are for his time in Tucson. He is currently back in his home of New Orleans watching his new coach's former defense prep for the Sugar Bowl. Many of OU's players have told James just what kind of coach he is getting.

Linebacker commits to Cats

It is no secret that Arizona could use some help at the linebacker spots for next year. Their answer was in town a few days ago and pledged his allegiance to Mike Stoops this weekend. The Cats hosted a grayshirt player that was set to sign with another school next month, but now is now moving to Tucson. He was one of the top Linebackers in the South coming out of high school.
