Jerad Eickhoff was slated to start Friday for the Phillies, but an upper back strain has put him on the DL. Taking Eickhoff's roster spot is Brock Stassi, who returns to the Phillies after being optioned out earlier this month.

After beating the University of Tampa 6-0 yesterday, the Phillies bats went into an early slumber against the Yankees on Friday. Late in the game though, they found their stride and put up four runs against the Yankees.

Brock Stassi seemingly had a breakout season in 2015, but then took a bit of a step back last season, his first at Triple-A. With Tommy Joseph ahead of him and Rhys Hoskins next to him, the 2017 season is a big one for Stassi.
