Today begins a series of looking back at the most recent recruiting class and how each player parlays into the current roster and potential depth chart. The first position being looked at is Safety. This is due simply to the fact that the first player to sign this recruiting season was mid year Junior College transfer student, Taj Letman.

Doc Holliday wasted no time this offseason in restocking his roster. Marshall graduated a very small class this past season, only eight seniors, and has seen some roster attrition since the season ended. Holliday received two signed letters of intent from mid year Junior College Transfers.

Marshall's season ended in heartbreaking fashion last Friday afternoon in Greenville, South Carolina. The Herd saw its offense score 59 points, and still lose. The defense needed to make one play on fourth down late in the game to seal the victory and a bowl birth, and came up short.

Holmes Community College safety Taj Letman (6'3,200) is one of a number of recruits scheduled to come in for visits this weekend for the Western Kentucky game. Letman is become a hot commodity this fall because he will have three years of eligibility left.

Its that time of year again. That time when high profile recruits from around the country start to set up their five official visits. The time when schools invite recruits to spend the weekend at their school, tour their facilities, meet with their staff, school president, and current players. The time when they come out to watch a football game, often, the school's biggest game of the year.
