Vandals victorious in season finale

IDAHO PUT TOGETHER A GAME WINNING touchdown drive in the final five minutes, then held off a Texas State possession in the final minute for the 38-31 win on Senior Night in Moscow. In total Idaho put up 508 yards of offense while junior receiver DEON WATSON haulded in five passes for an efficient 124 yards (averaging 24.8 yards per catch) and two touchdowns on the afternoon.

Seeking a new go-to guy

WITH THE ANNOUNCEMENT this week that Idaho has suspended indefinitely receiver Dezmon Epps, ranked No.14 in America, the Vandals begin looking to fill the void left by its most prolific receiver (61 receptions, 757 yards). This will be no trivial task - especially his ability to stretch the field. Several will be in the mix to become Idaho's next go-to receiver, including tightend TRENT COWAN.

Vandals win pulling away

WITH SATURDAY'S HOMECOMING VICTORY, the Vandals put together one of their most complete games of the season. They scored late in the 2nd quarter to take a 3-point lead into the half. After intermission the Vandal D gave up just three points, while DEON WATSON scored two touchdowns of 20+ yards and the Vandal offense took a knee at the ULM 2-yard line as time expired for the 27-13 victory.

Viking star discusses commitment to Idaho

Coeur d'Alene two-sport star DEON WATSON (6-5, 205, 4.7) has had a stellar high school career. On the hardwood this week he eclipsed 1000 points for his career. On the gridiron the two-way starter (WR/DE) caught 54 passes for 931 yards and 13 touchdowns, helping lead the Vikings to their second consecutive State Championship.
