LEWISTON -- Football season formally commenced in Cougar Nation on Saturday and you could figuratively -- and literally, via this slideshow -- hear the trumpeting fanfare. A season that looks to hold much promise began in colorful fashion at Sacajawea Junior High and Cougfan.com was there with a lens to capture it.
SOME ARE STARTERS, some are reserves, but they all have one thing in common. These five Washington State veterans have something to prove when the Cougs’ fall camp gets underway in Lewiston on Aug. 6.
FOR THE FIRST time in recent memory, Washington State’s annual Crimson and Gray game featured three teams: one crimson, one gray — and one white. Indeed, every offensive lineman for both the Crimson and Gray sides was cloaked in white Saturday at Spokane’s Joe Albi Stadium.
WASHINGTON STATE this spring has talent and experience projected on the starting offensive line. What it doesn’t have is proven depth.
