Many have been the questions about Joe Dailey leading up to this spring game. Most have been about his fall from the top spot, Zac Taylor taking it and not looking back. That leads to more questions, most of those having to do with him even being here in the fall. Dailey addressed those and more as he talked to the media following the Spring game.

It's been one of those years. Up, down, in and out, Joe Dailey has seen against a variety of teams himself in a variety of ways. This weekend he'll face the best team he'll have seen as a college player. Against the number two team in the country, with so much that has gone wrong, questions abound going in to this game, inquiring about what can go right. Enjoy this edition of sound bytes.

Joe Dailey broke a record that stood for over 30 years. He also broke that magical barrier for passers that has never been achieved at NU in over 114. Guess what that means going down to Kansas State. That's right, nothing and that's just how everyone wants it to be.

He's soft-spoken most any time I have heard. He's non-assuming, modest and mature beyond his years. He's also something else, perhaps something that right now means little to nothing to him, but one day could be something that makes him smile. What made him smile more was that in the process of breaking the all-time passing record for yards in a single game, Joe Dailey's efforts helped his team to win. The record was simply the icing on the cake.
