PULLMAN -- Contrary to previous belief, coach Ken Bone says high-scoring guard Mike Ladd's knee injury does not have to do with a previous injury suffered in high school, and believes the senior should see the hardwood again this season. Also, Bone believes the team could turn the proverbial corner at any point – but nothing can happen until the Cougs get a win.

HOOPS: Nothing but pressure for Cougs

PULLMAN -- A wretched start to the second half buried the Cougs on Wednesday night against Oregon State. Despite a herculean comeback effort, a barrage of second half turnovers against full-court pressure would be Washington State's undoing. In the end, a Mike Ladd-less Cougar squad let a very winnable game slip from their fingers, though the team showed heart and a massive amount of resolve.

New Coug hooper gives assist to Weaver & Co.

KYLE WEAVER, Derrick Low and Taylor Rochestie hung up their crimson jerseys a few years ago, but they're still dishing off assists for Ol' Wazzu. Bryce Leavitt, a sharpshooting guard from Kennewick High, was invited to walk on this coming season at Washington State, Gonzaga, Washington and Boise State but says he chose WSU in part because of the lasting impression left by those old Cougar guards.
