Practice Report: Audition Day, says Levy

PULLMAN--Bill Doba foretold Tuesday afternoon an intense practice to kick off the week was on tap. That it was, reminiscent of the intense, vocal, pad-cracking sessions usually reserved for spring ball and fall camp. Opportunity amid injury

THE HELMETS DON'T go on till next week, but already there's enough injury news on the Palouse that WSU President Lane Rawlins may want to consider starting a medical school. OK, it's not really all that bad. And, in fact, some of the news is actually music to the ears, with a return to health giving the Cougs a big boost at running back. On the road without Sweetlou

Well, Jeff 'Sweetlou' Carr wasn't able to attend the quick jaunt down 1-5 to Lewis and Clark College for Sunday's Air Attack camp, but that didn't stop this intrepid reporter from braving sleep deprivation and social obligations to find out what the fuss was all about. The 'fuss' actually has been brewing in the Rose City for many years, in the form of 'Air Attack'.

An Oscar for recruiting?

<b>ROBIN PFLUGRAD</b>, WSU's football recruiting coordinator for the last two years and assistant head coach for the last two months, may have missed his calling. Based on the enthusiastic reaction of a packed house of Cougar fans Friday night, Pflugrad also has a future in film-making. He put together and narrated an Oscar-worthy highlight reel of WSU's newest class of football recruits.
