Davidson Drafted, Then Traded

For about 10 minutes Thursday night, The University of Alabama's Jermareo Davidson was a Golden State Warrior. Minutes later, he became a Charlotte Bobcat. The 6-foot-10 All-Southeastern Conference forward, who was a senior for the Crimson Tide this past season, was the 36th overall pick, drafted in the 2nd round of the 2007 NBA draft.

But the bad news is that the SEC is a tough league. I remember when I was a freshman and sophomore and we had Bowie and Turpin. Tide Player's Brother Dead

Dewayne Watkins, the brother of University of Alabama senior center Jermareo Davidson, died on Wednesday night at an Atlanta hospital. Watkins had been critically ill since November 7. Davidson learned of his brother's death when he returned to Tuscaloosa shortly before midnight from the Crimson Tide's flight back from a game at N.C. State.
